Bochum's Relegation Risks Plummet After Win

By Alberto Ibarra · · Round-up

Bochum's 1-0 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig has resulted in a significant shift in their championship probabilities. Prior to the match, Bochum faced a 20.2% chance of relegation, but this has now dropped to a mere 0.1%. The win has also propelled Bochum into the playoff and promotion races, with probabilities increasing from 2.2% to 9.2% and from 2.8% to 11.5%, respectively.

Conversely, Eintracht Braunschweig's prospects have dimmed considerably. Their chances of winning, making the playoffs, and achieving promotion have all plummeted to 0.0%, marking their exit from these races. Additionally, their relegation probability has surged dramatically from 15.2% to 39.0%, placing them in a precarious position at the bottom of the table.

St. Pauli, after a 2-2 draw against Holstein Kiel, has seen their playoff probability decrease from 8.0% to 4.7%, while their promotion chances have also dwindled from 10.5% to 5.6%. Holstein Kiel's chances of winning have almost vanished, dropping from 1.5% to 0.3%, although their relegation probability has decreased slightly from 14.2% to 8.6%.

As the season progresses, Bochum's rise in the standings will be a focal point, while Eintracht Braunschweig must address their growing relegation concerns. The upcoming matches will be crucial for St. Pauli and Holstein Kiel to regain momentum and improve their standings.
